Introduzione

Mad World è una canzone del gruppo inglese Tears for Fears, scritta da Roland Orzabal e cantata dal bassista Curt Smith.

È stata pubblicata come singolo dall'album di debutto del gruppo The Hurting, ed è stato il primo ad ottenere popolarità, raggiungendo la terza posizione della UK Singles Chart nel novembre 1982, ed entrando nelle classifiche di diversi paesi nel mondo. Nel 2001 Gary Jules e Michael Andrews hanno realizzato una cover dell'album per la colonna sonora del film Donnie Darko.
